About Superscrews

Superscrews is based in Hawea, near Wanaka in Central Otago. We have been in business since 2009 as a family business owned and run by brothers Gwilym and Toby Griffith-Jones.

We are both 'makers and fixers', everything from houses, trousers and cars to robots and wallets. We've been aware for a while that building materials in NZ are more expensive than almost anywhere else in the world.

Superscrews is our small attempt to put that right, at least with screws and driver bits. We import high quality products and sell direct to the user via the internet to keep costs down.

We sell both through Trademe and on this website - prices are sometimes cheaper on this site as there are no Trademe fees involved.

Superscrews was started in 2009 out of frustration with prices of fasteners in the hardware stores, and so we could fund building a shed to make things in.
